This crusade was created by Typhani Janelle Russo, Miss Pennsylvania Heart Inspired and Beautiful Queen 2008. She established this program to help bring happiness and smiles to children in hospitals to aid in their apprehension of being there while they are recovering and/or being treated. It is a gift basket containing assorted books, puzzles, toys and stuffed animals that is given to children in different pediatric units across Pennsylvania. Each 2008 Pennsylvania HIAB queen will be donating baskets throughout their reigning year. Typhani would like to see this program expand and is hoping that in the future children in hospitals around the world will benefit from donated "Queenz for Kidz" baskets!
